Oguta Lake Holiday Complex
Oguta lake is the second largest natural lake in Nigeria and is located in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. Its complex comprises of a golf course, a hotel for lodging and refreshment, and a recreation park where you can hang out with friends and colleagues. The lake offers a cool atmosphere and a serene environment.
Situated along the valley, behind a hill and accompanied with a dense tropical rain forest, lies the ancient Ogbunike Caves. It also has a 317 step walkway were visitors can use to access a recreating spot without foot wears. There’s also a meeting point where two water bodies (a river and a stream) converge, one can feel the warm stream water from the caves and the cold river water. Ogbunike is a town in the Oyi local government area of Anambra State.
National War Museum
The National War Museum was established to preserve Nigeria’s war relics and to serve as a center for research and information on warfare in Nigeria. It is now one of the most visited tourist sites in Nigeria. The War Museum has three major galleries were students can see old ammunition and war gadgets used during the Civil war. An excursion at this place will give students a rare opportunity to relive the period of the war through the items on display and for study purposes.
Ngwo Pine Resort
Another excursion site where students can feel the wonders of nature in its dynamic form. The Ngwo Pine Resort located in Enugu State, is characterized by evergreen trees and shrubs that offers adventure seekers and holiday makers a chance to relax and have fun. The pine trees are arranged pleasantly with water splashing from inside a cave.
The Awhum waterfall stands elegantly at 30 meters and emanates from a stream which flows through a large expanse of granite rocks.
